Description
A delicious, healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers made with flavorful ground venison, perfect for any BBQ or weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground venison
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Burger buns
- Your choice of toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground venison, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until everything is evenly combined. Aim for a uniform texture, but don’t overwork it!
- Form the mixture into burger patties, making them a bit larger than your buns, since they will shrink a little during cooking.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet if desired.
- Assemble your burger with your favorite toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
Don’t overwork the meat mixture to ensure the patties stay tender. For an extra kick, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños.
