Description

Tender, juicy beef short ribs infused with rich, smoky flavor, perfect for any barbecue or family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lbs beef short ribs
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Wood chips for smoking (e.g., hickory or oak)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Rub the spice mix evenly over the beef short ribs.
  4. Place the ribs in the smoker, bone side down, and add wood chips for smoke flavor.
  5. Smoke the ribs for about 5-6 hours, until they reach an internal temperature of 200°F (93°C).
  6. If desired, wrap the ribs in foil for the last hour.
  7. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 15-30 minutes before serving.

Notes

To enhance smoky flavors, soak wood chips in water for 30 minutes. Pair with coleslaw or cornbread for a classic BBQ experience.
