- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually blend in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan before slicing into even bars.
Notes
Serve warm with tea or coffee. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
