Ingredients
Scale
- 2 to 3 pounds of bones (beef, chicken, or pork)
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, smashed
- Water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the bones into the Instant Pot.
- Pour in the apple cider vinegar and add enough water to cover the bones.
- Add the quartered onion, chopped carrots, chopped celery, and smashed garlic.
- Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to ‘Soup’ or ‘Manual’ mode for 120 minutes.
- Allow the pressure to release naturally after cooking.
- Strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve, discarding the solids.
- Season the broth with salt and pepper to taste, then enjoy or store for later.
Notes
For added depth of flavor, consider roasting the bones and vegetables beforehand. Serve warm with fresh herbs, and consider adding a squeeze of lemon.
