Scale
- 2 lbs chicken thighs or drumsticks
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and gochujang. Stir until well combined to create a flavorful marinade.

- Grill the Chicken: Place the marinated chicken on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
- Brush with Marinade: During the last few minutes of grilling, brush some leftover marinade on the chicken.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve.
Notes
For added spice, incorporate more gochujang or red pepper flakes. This dish pairs well with rice or fresh cucumber salad.
