- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- Add the rinsed rice, water, olive oil, and salt into the Instant Pot. Stir well to combine.
- Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the valve to sealing.
- Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 6 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for remaining pressure.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving to separate the grains.
Notes
Serve hot and consider garnishing with chopped herbs. For a rich flavor, swap olive oil for ghee, and this recipe is naturally gluten-free.
