- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla extract until you have a thick dough.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the baking pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges feel firm and the center is slightly soft.
- Sprinkle the shredded coconut over the baked base.
- Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the coconut layer.
- Return the pan to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the cooled bars before cutting into squares.
Notes
For gluten-free bars, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. They can be served warm or at room temperature, and pairing with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is delicious.
