Description

Deliciously buttery cookies that are fun to make and perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Colored sugar or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. Whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Fill a cookie press with the dough and press it onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Sprinkle colored sugar or sprinkles over the unbaked cookies.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on wire racks.

Notes

Consider chilling the dough if it’s too soft to work with. Use different cookie press shapes for a festive look.
