A refreshing homemade drink that combines the zing of fresh ginger with the bright burst of lemon flavor, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients

- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Ice
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the water and grated ginger. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the ginger water into a pitcher.
- Add the lemon juice and sugar to the ginger water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Put the mixture in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices. Enjoy!
Notes
For a low-sugar option, use stevia or another sugar alternative. You can also customize the flavor with fresh cucumber or mint.
