- 3 pounds of potatoes
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of diced onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the diced onions until translucent.
- Layer the potato slices in a large baking dish, sprinkling salt and pepper between layers.
- Pour the heavy cream over the layered potatoes and top with grated cheddar cheese.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
