- 4 medium sweet potatoes
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into cubes.
- In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Place the sweet potato cubes into the Crock-Pot and pour the sugar mixture over them.
- Pour the cup of water into the Crock-Pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until tender.
- Give everything a good stir before serving to mix the sauce with the sweet potatoes.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract. You can also substitute brown sugar with maple syrup for a lower sugar option.
