Description

A deliciously easy sweet and salty treat combining crispy popcorn, rich chocolate, and creamy peanut butter, perfect for movie nights or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by popping your popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stovetop. Pour the popped popcorn into a large bowl, ensuring to remove any unpopped kernels.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and creamy peanut butter. Microwave for about 30 seconds and stir until smooth. If not fully melted, continue heating in short intervals.
  3. If desired, mix in sugar and vanilla extract to the chocolate-peanut butter mixture for added sweetness.
  4. Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the popped popcorn and gently stir to coat every piece.
  5. Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  6. Allow the popcorn to cool and harden for about 15 minutes before breaking it into pieces and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For a nut-free option, substitute peanut butter with almond or sunflower seed butter.
