- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cups provolone cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Sauté the chicken and veggies: Add the thinly sliced chicken, onion, and green bell pepper to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and sauté until the chicken is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender, about 8–10 minutes.
- Assemble the sandwiches: Once cooked, divide the chicken and vegetable mixture evenly among the hoagie rolls.
- Melt the cheese: Top each filled sandwich with provolone cheese and place in a preheated oven until melted and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot: Remove from the oven and serve your Chicken Philly Cheesesteaks hot and enjoy!
