- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely over medium heat.
- Add the almonds to the saucepan and stir to coat them in the syrup.
- Continue cooking while stirring frequently until the mixture thickens and bubbles, coating the almonds.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Spread the candied almonds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer to cool.
