- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the mashed sweet potatoes and bourbon until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the sweet potato mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in chopped pecans or walnuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
