Description

An easy-to-serve casserole that combines the comforting flavors of a classic cheeseburger with hearty ground beef, creamy cheese, and pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or similar)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup pickles, diced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until cooked, draining excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked pasta, beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. If desired, stir in diced pickles and mustard.
  5. Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture into it, spreading evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a fun presentation, serve in individual ramekins. Substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based options, and use different cheeses for variation.
