Description

Delightful homemade candied almonds coated in a sweet syrup, perfect for snacking or as a gift.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely over medium heat.
  2. Add the almonds to the saucepan and stir to coat them in the syrup.
  3. Continue cooking while stirring frequently until the mixture thickens and bubbles, coating the almonds.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Spread the candied almonds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer to cool.
